For clothing brands · guide
How much do Facebook ads cost for a clothing brand?
The honest answer is "it depends," so here's what it depends on, with real ranges and the one number that tells you if it's worth it.
Three costs: ad spend (a common first test is about $100 a day for 30 days, around $3,000), management (retainer, percentage of spend, or percentage of sales) and creative. Whether it pays depends on your break-even ROAS. Calculate yours.
Ad spend
Reaching 1,000 people on Meta (CPM) often costs somewhere around $10 to $25, sometimes more in busy seasons. What matters more is your cost per purchase, which depends on your creative, offer and page. A first test needs enough budget to get sales most days so Meta can learn. About $100 a day for 30 days is a common example, not a rule.
Management
| Model | How it works |
|---|---|
| Monthly retainer | Fixed fee whether you sell or not |
| Percentage of ad spend | Fee grows as you spend more |
| Percentage of sales | Agency earns a cut of the sales the ads bring in |
Creative
Ads need fresh creative. That can come from your own shoots, creators paid per video or per views, or an agency that builds ads from your content.
Is it worth it?
Ads pay when your ROAS beats your break-even. Example: a $45 hoodie with $19.40 profit before ads breaks even at 2.32x. At 3x you profit on each sale, at 2x you lose. Know that number before you spend.
Questions
How much should a clothing brand spend on Facebook ads?
Enough to get sales most days while testing. A common first test is about $100 a day for 30 days, adjusted for your price and margins.
How much does a Facebook ads agency charge clothing brands?
It depends on the model: a monthly retainer, a percentage of ad spend, or a percentage of the sales the ads bring in. Ad spend is separate.
Can I run Facebook ads for $10 a day?
You can, but learning is slow and data is thin. It works better as organic boost or list building than as a real sales test.
What is a good cost per purchase for clothing?
Anything under your profit per order. If an order leaves $45 before ads, you need to win customers for well under $45.
